Sixteen-year-old Ayoola is forced to take early responsibility of her brother, Jimi, following the tragic death of their mother. She navigates through life, facing a lot of bewildering hardship and turbulent situations in a country that has been plunged into social and moral decadence, corruption, poverty, and economic decline, occasioned by bad governance.


There are other teenagers in the book like Dada and his friends who have become redefined due to the ill happenings bedeviling their beloved country. They face so numerous heart-wrenching hurdles. Will these teenagers survive the hurdles of life at such tender age or will their country's unfavorable situation break the m completely and forever?
